While testing out this app, I couldn’t help but think of Apple’s remarks on their intent to weed out the “cookie cutter” apps in search of more usable ones, and also how Steve Jobs himself described the iPhone as “your life in your pocket.” I wouldn’t go so far as to say this My Vacation app fully embodies the ideal of your life in your pocket, but it does a darn good job of documenting your life over the span of a week or so…all in your pocket. The media capibilites here with photos, video, and audio; the preparation features; the interface and presentation of your vacation; and the thoughtfulness behind connecting it all together definitely makes this app a winner and a “must-download” for the travel-hungry.

Good for documentating your vacations or trips. It has things like a journal and pictures etc. so that you can document it. It also has some social networking options like facebook which was cool. |

We travel a great deal. I always journal our trips for posting reviews on the web. Quite often I will be somewhere when I do not have a pen or paper. If I have my Touch with me.....this is perfect. Very well done by the developers. You can journal and take pictures as you go. This does exactly what it says. No issues. |

WOW, what a well thought out app! I've just used the planning portion, but I was pleased with what it contained. There's a To Do list, a To Pack list, and a note section. I've used the note section for a couple of things: Hotel reservation numbers and contact info, Car rental info and a few notes on places to visit. It would be nice in future updates to include an area for accommidations. Just to have it all organzined. |

It's a great application for documenting a trip on the iphone! With as much traveling as I do it comes in really handy. I like that it combines other tools such as a to do list and a packing list because I always forget something when it comes to traveling. The application works well, especially with the improved camera on the 3GS. I also like the fact I can email the lists to myself and post the photos directly into Facebook. Keep the apps coming! |

The interface is really well designed and the ability to put all this information in one place is great. Having the audio option as well is a cool plus. Definitely a good app if you don't want to carry a journal around. |

I really liked this app because it is a great and simple way to start and remember your vacation. It helps you get there and then can easily go back and look at it again. The layout of the app is really nice and easy to use! Can't wait to add my summer vacation! |

I've just started planning a vacation for April. I love the planning section of this APP! Its like I can scrapbook on the go! As opposed to waiting to get everything set up when I get home I can just continue to record my vacation while I'm on it. This is great! And IF I ever decide to do an actual scrapbook I can refer to this app for what was going on during the vacation. What a great idea! Its a great excuse to plan more vacations.

Much unexpectedly, My Vacation turned out to be an impressive gem. So many wonderful features are crammed inside. For instance, the film roll can be scrolled. You pull it out, revealing more photos in the roll, and when you're done you can roll it back. Tapping on any of the individual photos will get you a fullscreen view of the photo. The app is really well thought out for the traveler, with to-do and packing list functions, notes, etc. Once you've keyed in your travel locations, the app is set to automatically search Wikipedia, the weather, taxi info, and eating places for a specific location. The only time I bother about taking any form of journal is when I travel, so this will work great for me. |
